Max Schubert
"Every client brings a unique story and concern. I am committed to understanding each client’s perspective and advocating strongly for what matters most to them."
Max A. Schubert was born in Warren, Ohio and graduated from Mathews High School. He went on to attend Bowling Green State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science, graduating summa cum laude and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. During his time at Bowling Green, Max gained early legal experience by interning for a judge of the Wood County Court of Common Pleas and later with the Wood County Prosecutor’s Office.
Max went on to earn his Juris Doctor summa cum laude from Capital University Law School in May 2025. While at Capital, he was an active member of the Moot Court Program, serving on the Executive Board and competing nationally on the Criminal Law and Labor and Employment Law teams. He served as an intern in the law school’s General Litigation Clinic, where he represented indigent clients under faculty supervision. He also completed a judicial externship with Justice Jennifer Brunner of the Supreme Court of Ohio, where he gained meaningful experience in appellate work. Max was inducted into the Order of the Barristers and received Pro Bono Legal Honors for his commitment to service.
Max’s academic and legal experiences led him to pursue a career in family law. He initially joined Petroff Law Offices, LLC as a law clerk during his final semester of law school and now serves as an associate attorney, working closely with clients on a variety of family law matters. He is excited to begin his career helping individuals and families navigate some of life’s most challenging moments.
Outside of the office, Max enjoys exploring the Columbus food and coffee scene, attending concerts, and traveling. He also remains involved with Capital University Law School’s Moot Court Program, where he serves as a coach for current students.
